Matthew Butram is the program administrator of the Maritime Administration’s Strategic Ports Program. In this role he is a fulcrum between designated Commercial Strategic Seaports and the Department of Defense on seaport readiness issues. Previously, Mr. Butram worked within the Maritime Administration’s Division of Sealift Operations, where he facilitated Ready Reserve Force operations and was a watchstander in the MARAD Coordination Center. He is a graduate of the National Defense University College of International Security Affairs and the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute.
