Duane Davis
Section Chief, Port Security Grant Program
U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security, FEMA
Duane Davis, Section Chief of the Port Security Grant Program (PSGP) for about 12 years. I was previously in the DHS Exercise Division as an Exercise planner. Prior to coming to DHS/FEMA I was a police officer and USCG Reservist (BM3). I truly believe in the value added of PSGP funds to enhancing maritime security and capabilities throughout our Nation’s ports. PSGP prioritizes funding toward reducing risk of terrorist attacks at Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) regulated facilities by enhancing capabilities of MTSA facilities, Port Authorities, and public safety agencies required to provide security services to MTSA facilities. Working closely with stakeholders/grantees is a passion of mine and I take great pride ensuring that tax funded grant dollars are appropriately provide, spent and accounted as furthering maritime security activities.
