Alexandra Pierce grew up in Juneau and worked at the port in her first job as a teenager. After over a decade working in government affairs and destination planning in British Columbia, she returned to Juneau in 2016 and joined the City and Borough. As Tourism Manager, Alexandra develops public policy and liaises with the cruise industry, other levels of government, and regional port partners. She also conducts public outreach on tourism issues and represents Juneau and Southeast Alaska to the Pacific Northwest to Alaska Green Corridor First Movers group. Alexandra’s career in destination planning and management stems from her love of travel and adventure. On the weekends, you can find her in the mountains on skis or a bike.
