With over 20 years of experience leading digital transformation across the Public Sector, Health Care, and Manufacturing/Factory Automation, Sharmila currently serves as the client partner for IBM Consulting’s State, Location, and Education business at Texas. In this role, Sharmila leverages her strengths in fostering new client relationships, deep understanding of public sector market and government procurements to secure new business, profitably execute contracts, and drive outcomes for clients.

Sharmila’s core focus centers around helping clients improve citizen experience through strategic integration of data and applying AI. Some of the most impactful opportunities include:

• Guiding Health & Human Services agencies in transitioning from traditional programmatic focus to comprehensive whole-person care;
• Helping Departments of Transportation embracing future of mobility with solutions like congestion charging and payment modernization;
• Aiding in Smart-City transformations, including initiatives like modernizing licensing & permitting and developing digital twins of city infrastructure;
• Modernizing contact center experiences;
• Enhancing client efficiency via Managed Services; and
• Facilitating client migration to cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
