Jim Bunsey

Jim Bunsey is the Senior Manager of Business Development for the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), where he leads the organization’s material handling market program. With over 25 years of experience in the propane industry, Bunsey has worked across all facets of
the sector—from procurement and design to construction—on projects ranging from 500-gallon installations to midstream infrastructure exceeding one million gallons.

Throughout his career, he has overseen the design and installation of numerous propane and natural gas liquid fuel terminals, as well as more than 600 propane autogas infrastructure sites across the country. His expertise spans both commercial and industrial applications, and he is a
recognized leader in safe storage and handling practices.

Bunsey is an active member of the National Propane Gas Association’s Technology, Standards, and Safety Committee, the National Fuel Gas Code Technical Committee (NFPA 54), and the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code Technical Committee (NFPA 58), where he plays a key role in
shaping the industry’s codes and standards.
